Thursday Tweets: Dryers and Ducting

While looking through our Twitter feed we found these tweets to share with you.

The first tweet we found is also a reason for a lot of the calls for service on dryers.

Naturally, it is easy to blame the socks. After all they go AWOL so easily. But they probably are not REALLY the problem.

Not cleaning the ducting? There is a good chance that has something to do with the machine not working correctly.

Sure, it's a chore. That comes with the territory if you want to take care of your home and your appliances.

Of course, you could give up using a dryer and use a clothesline. When it rains, though, clotheslines have their own issues.

So take care of your dryer and keep it working well. To close us out, here is a tip.

Thursday Tweets: Dishwasher Style

While looking through our Twitter feed we found these tweets to share with you.

The first post we see today addresses one of the great problems of our time.

Of course, there are other ways a dishwasher might interfere with marital bliss.

Sometimes, the best of intentions can wrong too.

Of course, it could be that someone has unrealistic expectations.

Some folks DO appreciate how good they have it, though.

Appreciation can take several forms.

Sometime's your spouse deserves the thanks, other times it is all you.

With less planning, you may still have a chore to do. With a little luck, this is as bad as it gets.

When you do get around to washing those dishes, take quick look in the machine before you start loading it.

Have great day and keep on smiling!

Thursday Tweets: Gas and Electric Range Edition

While looking through our Twitter feed we found these tweets to share with you.

A search in the world of Twitter can lead to some surprising ideas. This one is not recommended...

If you are a bit of a joker, this tip might be fun. On the other hand, it could lead to a ruined dinner...

If being a joker does not come naturally, maybe this "smart range" can help you...

And even if this looks cute, it probably isn't the most sanitary approach to your cooking appliances...

If you want a cute kitchen, here is another approach to consider...

If your tastes run to the more modern, you too have options. However, glass cooktops can break. So be careful...

We would hate for you to have a broken appliance. That could lead to this opinion...

A few tweets we found just left us confused, like this one...

Finally, we offer a homemade oven cleaner recipe. Use at your own risk...

Thursday Tweets: More from the Laundry Room

While looking through our Twitter feed we found these tweets to share with you.

A bit of fashion criticism brings us back to the subject of laundry...

Sometimes the dirty clothes just scream "clean me". Other times not so much...

Once a person gets started, they might start daydreaming...

Eventually, an idea might strike...

Too much daydreaming can lead to further laundry problems, though...

When comes time to dry the clothes, this Twitter user has an opinion...

Still, there are drying options. You could use a clotheline, but be careful...

Some folks use a laundrymat to dry their clothes. Sometimes that means a grungy old dryer, but maybe not...

That leaves laundry at home which does have at least one fringe benefit...

And we all know, when it comes to laundry, it feels so good to get the job done...

Friday Morning Videos: A Tiny Breakfast

Have you ever heard of Kawaii cooking? It started in Japan and then spread throughout the world, primarily via YouTube videos. The style of cooking is to make tiny reproductions of full sized food, todays examples do that on a functional dollhouse, candle powered, range. I have two videos to share with you today that use the technique. First we have a simple bacon and egg breakfast, then we follow that with the incredibly elaborate Thanksgiving dinner. If you decide to try Kawaii cooking yourself we would love to see what kind of creations you come up with.

Thursday Tweets: Holiday Edition

While looking through our Twitter feed we found these holiday season tweets to share with you.

To start things off. We all know that there are "morning people" and then there are the rest of us. But one day a year, it seems like everybody becomes a "morning person"...

For some of us, we really need to get in the mood to become a "morning person".

For others, it will take until the kids, who are at college, come home to visit.

Parents of younger kids will be having this conversation.

Even the family pet can get caught up the anticipation of the season.

On the other hand, there are those who just don't seem to have much fun at this time of year, despite the best wishes of their friends.

Maybe its just more fun to make your own baked goods.

Or maybe not. At least a pastry chefs treats are likely to be appreciated. Feel sorry for this guy...

Maybe our last tweeter just made the wrong baked goods...

Like us, this next tweeter is ready for some Christmas goodies. Unlike us, she has a broken oven. If only there was a service industry that could somehow help solve her problem. (wink, wink)

All this holiday treat talk has me thinking I should see if there are any goodies hiding out around the offices of W.L. May. Often there is something floating around to snack on at this time of year. Thanks to all of you who send us treats. We sure do enjoy them. So I am off to go scouting for yummies. Have a great holiday and remember to be safe when YOU go out scouting around for fun and goodies....

Thursday Tweets: Microwave Edition

While looking through our Twitter feed we found these washing machine related tweets to share with you.

Our visit to the Twitterverse begins with a microwave story that's been in the news recently. An internet hoax got our of control:

In spite of all the warnings, a lot of people claim to have fallen for the prank:

At least one kid tried to capitalize on the situation:

Others saw this as a chance to clean folks out of their follower list:

Another new report a day or so later reported that the new, thinner iphones were bending in peoples pockets. This tweeter tried to get just a little more pranking mileage out of that news report.

The correct answer, even if it is a little over the top, is:

Again, use it for things you eat. Not penguins?!?

If you are using the microwave correctly, for foods you eat. Don't overdo it with the cooking time.

Signing off, we have a sweet sentiment and a message we would like to send out to all of our customers and blog readers...

Twitter Tweets: Washing Machine Edition

While looking through our Twitter feed we found these washing machine related tweets to share with you.

Heading into the world of Twitter, it quickly becomes apparent that things are not normal.

Washing machines are screaming...

Washing machines are flooding homes...

When these things start happening it kind of stops being a washing machine and becomes more of an irritation.

In spite of the occasional irritation, we should consider ourselves lucky to have washing machines.

If you have a washing machine (or a dishwasher) this tweeter suggest you learn how to use yours.

When you know how to use your washing machine, running it might be music to your ears.

Speaking of music, this guy attended a concert and got agitated.

If by destroyed he means drunk, well then, maybe he is responsible for this installation job. By the way, tweeter, that is a dryer that is hanging around in that laundry room.

Returning you to normal, the least we can do is leave you with some actual valid advice.

Maybe your own washing machine is not acting "normal". If your appliance is screaming, spilling water, or just not making the kind of music it should, don't ignore the problem! Small problems can turn into bigger (and more expensive) problems when they are not dealt with quickly. If you need parts to do the job, give us a call here at W.L. May and we will do every thing we can to get your machine back to "normal".
